This is an informal poll. It is not directed, or endorsed by any official group, entity, or representative of a Kingdom, Barony, or management of the S.C.A. The information will be used to help shape opinion on methods and practice in martial record keeping and further discussion.

    1. Some events often have more non-rattan martial participants then “fighters” yet because we are “out of sight” it is not recognized. An event reporting requirement would help get these numbers out.

  1. This is the eventual goal. To get a conversation started on an inter-Kingdom level to create a homogenous system wherein regardless of Kingdom law, scoring, or rules variations, we can easily record attendance in all martial fields.

  2. The Scores.SCA.Org website is currently used by 18 of the 20 kingdoms for Archery and/or Thrown Weapons. Participation numbers have been provided to SCA Officers and Communities when requested. However, those numbers are only as good as the information submitted. Some Kingdoms are great at entering Event Scores, others only enter their Royal Rounds and other standardized shoots. Very few enter “practice participation” at all. This means the numbers only reflect a small portion of the actual people participating.
